The New Hampshire School of Mechanical Trades is a hands-on trade school helping build a stronger trade community across New Hampshire. Their programs are designed for people of all ages, including recent high school graduates, career changers, and tradesmen/women looking to continue growing their skills. They offer day and evening courses available all year round!

Their Plumbing 101 course is a 90-hour pre-apprentice course (not a licensing program) that helps students break into the plumbing field by teaching general practices, terminology, tools, and hands-on lab experience with venting, drainage, water piping, soldering, and pipe materials. While it doesn't count toward apprentice hours, graduates leave with a practical understanding of the trade and a tool kit that helps them stand out to employers. Pairing this course with OSHA 10 is recommended to strengthen job prospects and is required to advance to a Journeyman Plumbing license.
