The New Hampshire School of Mechanical Trades is a hands-on trade school helping build a stronger trade community across New Hampshire. Their programs are designed for people of all ages, including recent high school graduates, career changers, and tradesmen/women looking to continue growing their skills. They offer day and evening courses available all year round!

The Oil Heat Technician course prepares students for a career in the oil heat industry through a mix of classroom theory and hands-on lab work with live equipment, covering cleaning, tune-ups, wiring, and troubleshooting using the NORA Technician Manual and NFPA 31 code book. Weekly tests reinforce learning and build toward the optional NORA certification exam offered near the end of the course. Graduates can use their NORA certification to pursue NH's voluntary Oil Heating certification and test for the MA State Oil Burner license.
