The procedure takes just seconds per eye, is painless and typically has no downtime — most patients are driving the next day! The procedure will take place at Fichte’s Amherst office and performed by board-certified ophthalmologists, with follow-up visits in WNY. LASIK procedures are ideal for most people between ages 18–45 (must be at least 18; over 45 often not ideal candidates). You'll receive a comprehensive evaluation in Amherst to confirm candidacy for the procedure, but if you're not a candidate, the auction item is transferable — give it to a friend or family member!
