Jazz Kitchen proudly serves up soul food with a raging Cajun flair that is not for the faint of heart, nor the calorie conscious connoisseur. Butter and cream are at the heart of the more comforting dishes including the Chicken A La Mer with its parmesan cream sauce with shrimp and crabmeat, and the Shrimp Czarina with its parmesan cream sauce laden with shrimp, lemon juice and cayenne. For those looking for something a little lighter Jazz Kitchen does have some low(er) calorie dishes on their menu that still deliver full Cajun flavor like the Cajun Cacciatore – seasoned sauce picante and chicken served over fettuccine, and the Shrimp or Crawfish Creole served up with mixed tomato, peppers and onions. Staying true to Cajun style, Jazz Kitchen also has Oysters on the Half Shell, U-Peel Shrimp, and Hot Boiled Crawfish. Live entertainment and a fully stocked bar add to the true Now Orleans atmosphere allowing Jazz Kitchen to bring the spice, sights and sounds of the French Quarter to Lubbock every single day.
